pallax isn't code-signed yet, so the first time you open it your machine plays it safe and warns you. it's fine, and it's a one-time thing. here's the way through.

opening pallax on macos

one time only

  1. double-click pallax. macos says it "can't be opened because apple cannot check it for malicious software." click done.
  2. open system settings → privacy & security, and scroll down to the message about pallax.
  3. click open anyway, then confirm with open. that's it, pallax opens normally from now on.

once it's open, point pallax at your music folder and it'll read your tracks and sort them. back to pallax.co.uk →
