legal
terms of service
Last updated: 24 July 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and pallax ltd ("pallax", "we", "us"), the maker of the pallax software, and they cover your purchase and use of pallax. By buying or using pallax, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use pallax.
1. What pallax is
pallax is desktop software for DJs that helps you read, tag, order and export your music library. It is sold as a one-time purchase, not a subscription. There is no recurring charge and nothing to cancel on a recurring basis.
2. Your licence
When you buy pallax, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use pallax on devices you own or control, for your own use. The software is licensed to you, not sold.
You may not:
- resell, rent, sub-licence, or redistribute pallax or its installer;
- share your download link or installer so others can get pallax without buying it;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, except where the law expressly allows it;
- remove or alter any copyright or ownership notices.
3. Payment and delivery
Purchases are processed by Paddle, our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles the checkout, payment, receipts and any applicable tax. Your contract for the purchase transaction is with Paddle; your licence to use the software is with us. Paddle's buyer terms also apply to the transaction.
Prices are shown at checkout and include tax where applicable. Once your payment is confirmed, we make the pallax download available to you. Downloads are tied to your purchase and delivered through this website.
4. Refunds
Our refund and cancellation terms are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. Updates
We may release updates and improvements to pallax from time to time. We may change, add, or remove features. We don't promise that any particular feature will always be available. Where a future release is offered as a separate paid product, we'll make that clear.
6. Signing notice
At the current stage, pallax is not yet code-signed, so your operating system may warn you the first time you open it. This is expected and does not mean the software is unsafe. Instructions for opening it are provided after download.
7. The software is provided "as is"
We work hard to make pallax useful and reliable, but to the fullest extent permitted by law, pallax is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every system or music library.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, revenue, or profit, arising from your use of (or inability to use) pallax. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
9. Your data
How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use pallax after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law entitles you to bring a claim elsewhere.
